Drama with introduction by Jessica Strain, d.a.i. Tübingen.
 
Korean War vet and retired auto worker Walt Kowalski doesn?t much like how his life or his neighborhood has turned out. He especially doesn?t like the people next door, Hmong immigrants from Southeast Asia. But events force Walt to defend those neighbors against a local gang that feeds on violence and fear.
 
In order to shine a light on the upcoming topic for the Abitur 2015 we will screen six American movies which will bring to light different perspectives of the topic. The events are meant for high school students, teachers, and anyone else interested, every first Monday of the month. Jessica Strain, d.a.i. Tübingen, will give an introduction into the relevant themes and issues brought up in the films.
