Beschreibung
In his ongoing book project, Lane argues that the death penalty is carried out less frequently today in the US than in any other time since the Supreme Court reinstated it in 1976. He also researches the international opposition to the death penalty and the impact it has made on the frequency of American executions. Lane is a long time writer, now on the Washington Post’s editorial board, and a well-known commentator on the Washington political scene. He also has been a guest professor in Journalism and English at Princeton and Georgetown Universities.
In Zusammenarbeit mit der American Academy, Berlin und mit der Abt. für Amerikanistik und der Abt. für Medienwissenschaften, Universität Tübingen.
