Zero in on Chicago. Because of its own diverse history, Chicago is an ideal model to illustrate and describe a cultural phenomenon of American society. The reality of dual identities will come to life through the speaker who grew up in Chicago with American and Mexican identities. Beginning with his personal experience, he will move on to the topic of cultural diversity in a US metropolis, explaining how the melting pot metaphor is interlinked with the American Dream.
