APPALOOSA machen da weiter, wo sie ziemlich genau vor einem Monat aufgehört haben (aufgrund 2 durchgeheizter Bassdrumfelle!!)... Means: Bring your own Mickey Maus. Laut waren sie nämlich. Was genau machen die? Wahnsinnig intensiver Live-Elektro mit 2 Bässen, Synthesizer, Loops, andere kryptische Gerätschaften und ein Schlagzeuger, dessen Spiel zwischen Uhrwerk und Panzer anzusiedeln ist.

"Appaloosa is a project born in 1998 in Livorno (Tuscany). After several changes of line up, since 2000 they have found their dimension by leaving off the lyrics and creating a sound that melts funk, psychedelic and dance attitudes, where tracks are based on two basses and drums and the key lays on grooves and dynamics.

In 2002 they took part to Arezzo Wave festival, gaining great feedbacks from both the audience and the press. Then The band played at Viba Live, a TV program on Rete A (the Music Channel before the arrival of MTV).
The AW's record label Ondanomala released their first full-length: The cd came out in Summer 2003, just in time to be presented during the festival and got more enthusiastic responses. After that, Appaloosa toured Italy sharing the stage with One Dimensional Man, Zu, Perturbazione and many other Italian bands.
In October they made a showcase at Radio Popolare (famous national network) and another one at M.E.I (the most famous indipendent label meeting) in Faenza. In addition, some songs were put on music magazine's compilations such as Rock Star, Rock Sound, Italian music office.

In 2004 the guys started combining samples, drum machines and synthetizers with the instruments already in use; once again, a couple of this new songs have been introduced to the audience of Arezzo Wave, but this time in front of 15,000 people at the Main Stage, supporting Karate, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Cypress Hill. Not too long after, Manuel Agnelli invited them at Tora Tora festival (supposed to be the italian Loolapalooza) to play together with Afterhours, Verdena or Zen Circus.
The italian gigs continued and in Spring 2005 the band played in Spain.

Summer 2005 was the time for the second full-length recorded at Blocco A by Giulio Ragno Favero. "Non Posso Stare Senza Di Te" (Traslation: "I Can't Be Without You") was released by Paolo Naselli Flores and obtained outstanding reviews by the critics. Moreover, the promotional video of "Are you Mons? No, I'm Jurgen?" made by Martino Chiti has been broadcast by MTV, MTV Brand New and Rock TV. The tour last from 2006 to 2007, through about 100 shows supported by Locusta and Urtovox.

In 2008 they came back to Blocco A to record "Savana", the third cd released on Urtovox Records in 2009, still getting excellent feedbacks from the audience, the national and international press. The band tour Italy supporting Zen Circus, Calibro35 and Teatro deli Orrori; in 2010 toured Germany and then France, Switzerland and Luxumberg together with Aucan. The song "Minimo" became part of the compilation "A Decouvir Ablsolument".

During Summer 2011 the band recorded their fourth full-length at "Tana delle tigri studio" in Livorno with Antonio Castiello. The title is "The Worst of Saturday Night - Musica per energumeni del sabato sera" that will be released next February 2012 on Black Candy records.

Before this, in January 2012 will come out R M X Appaloosa Vol.1", where all the tracks of "Savana" have been remixed by some tuscan Dj and Producers such as Apes on Tapes, Digi G'Alessio, Ether, Scary Grant, Dyami Young and more..."
